My expertise lies in driving more direct bookings for my clients. Having been in your shoes, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities within the hospitality industry. My career began in sales within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector, where I developed business for multinational brands and managed sales teams selling into major supermarkets in the UK.
I also served as a sales consultant for various companies, enriching my experience and strategic approach.
However, the dream my husband and I shared was to run our own hospitality business in a ski and hiking resort. This dream became a reality in 2012 when we purchased an apartment house in Austria and embarked on an exciting journey of developing our business and welcoming guests.
We started with online travel agents like Booking.com and Airbnb, and utilized local tourist information offices. Soon after, I focused on increasing sales and boosting direct bookings.
My involvement with the Hospitality Community and Boostly Academy on Facebook, along with my role as a Boostly Ambassador and later as head of business development and a direct booking specialist, enriched my understanding of the industry.
Since 2013, our business has seen a fivefold increase in sales value—achieved through higher occupancy, increased average pricing, longer stays, and many happy repeat guests. Impressively, 85% of our bookings are now direct, which puts us in control and reduces the commissions we pay to online agents.
Today, with efficient systems and processes in place, our Austrian hospitality business nearly runs itself. This allows me the privilege of sharing my knowledge and experiences with others, helping you increase your bookings and guiding you towards a business that can almost run itself too!
